I have been fishing the Nantahala River for years. With the institution of the Delayed Harvest section on the Upper Nantahala a unique opportunity was created.
This is one of my favorite and rewarding rivers in the Southeast. Not only are the stream aesthetics outstanding, with some of the most beautiful scenery in Georgia, the region is steeped with rich history and lore. A strong, vibrant, diverse ecosystem supports amazing hatches and healthy fish. Add to that the possibility of catching quality trout and you have a river experience not to be missed.
