"This is not your typical fly pattern book; far from it. The techniques and principles explained in this book go way beyond fly pattern recipes for stocked trout water. The book takes you inside the mind of the fish and explains the feeding behavior associated with the unique scenario that takes place with stocked fish in a stream over time. This deep knowledge will absolutely help you become a better trout angler overall. With this knowledge the actual pattern recipes themselves become secondary. Even so, the patterns in this book and the way they are presented is absolutely top-notch. Furthermore each recipe explains a myriad of options and why they might be applicable for your local stocked trout water. If you fish for stocked trout anywhere, or plan to, this book is a resource you should have."
