The Definitive Guide to the Tuckaseegee Delayed Harvest is one of my favorite Guidebooks.
Partly because it gives the guidance needed to fish the closest river to Atlanta where you can consistently catch LARGE Rainbow, Brown, and BROOK trout.
Partly because it gives the guidance needed to most efficiently fish a river that contains 7 miles of the best DH water in the southeast.
Partly because this book gives you the guidance you need on this great river to turn "fishing" days into "catching" days.
Oh, and by the way - Delayed Harvest on the Tuckaseegee doesn't end until June! (that's a full month later than nearby Georgia streams)
If you do a Google search on "Tuckaseegee River" you'll find listing after listing of Guide Services but no real helpful information. You're lucky if you can even stumble onto some directions on how to get there.
There simply isn't much information out there on this great river - which makes it tough for the angler unfamiliar with the "Tuck".
This is likely the reason Fishing Guides are thriving on this river, but if you're hiring a guide, be ready to drop about $400.
You can buy The Definitive Guide to the Tuckaseegee Delayed Harvest for $21.
I'm not saying that this book can take the place of a professional Fishing Guide, but it will definitely put you on the right track and if you follow the techniques in this book, you will catch more fish.
Here's a list of topics you'll find covered in The Definitive Guide to the Tuckaseegee Delayed Harvest:
If you are new to the sport and want to learn more about the Tuckaseegee River...
If you have never fished the Tuckaseegee River (or don't know what it is)...
If you are already fishing the Tuckaseegee but do not average 30 or more fish per trip...
If you are an advanced angler but want to learn the specific techniques, patterns, and locations that are absolutely the most effective on this incredible river...
