"You're "fishing" days are over, your "catching" days are about to begin..."

The Definitive Guide to the Tuckaseegee Delayed Harvest - by Patrick Mawhinney

The Definitive Guide to the Tuckaseegee Delayed Harvest
by Patrick Mawhinney

Second Edition - Updated September 2011

"Please pass on to Patrick my thanks for his book. I have been trying on line to figure out the generation schedules, flow times, dams, access points for the last few years but with no luck. With one reading of his book I went to the Tuck this week and really did well, with a 20" bow as my best. I found myself explaining to some fishermen how the gen. sched. worked (considering the two branches) and when to expect the rising water. Anyway, kudos to Patrick for his help in explaining the whole situation on the Tuck."

I'll admit it - I'm biased.

The Definitive Guide to the Tuckaseegee Delayed Harvest is one of my favorite Guidebooks.

Why?

Partly because it gives the guidance needed to fish the closest river to Atlanta where you can consistently catch LARGE Rainbow, Brown, and BROOK trout.

Partly because it gives the guidance needed to most efficiently fish a river that contains 7 miles of the best DH water in the southeast.

Partly because this book gives you the guidance you need on this great river to turn "fishing" days into "catching" days.

Oh, and by the way - Delayed Harvest on the Tuckaseegee doesn't end until June! (that's a full month later than nearby Georgia streams)

Information you won't find anywhere else. period.

If you do a Google search on "Tuckaseegee River" you'll find listing after listing of Guide Services but no real helpful information. You're lucky if you can even stumble onto some directions on how to get there.

There simply isn't much information out there on this great river - which makes it tough for the angler unfamiliar with the "Tuck".

This is likely the reason Fishing Guides are thriving on this river, but if you're hiring a guide, be ready to drop about $400.

You can buy The Definitive Guide to the Tuckaseegee Delayed Harvest for $21.

I'm not saying that this book can take the place of a professional Fishing Guide, but it will definitely put you on the right track and if you follow the techniques in this book, you will catch more fish.

"Just got back from a fishing trip to the Tuckaseegee. 4 Rainbows and 2 Big Browns. Red wooly bugger and #12 Adams working great. If I was a better fisherperson, would have had 15 on the ones I missed. Your book helped."

"Thanks for the quick response last week. I was able to get it downloaded. Great information on the Tuck. I fish the Tuck 6-8 times a year only when it's delayed harvest. This is one of the best rivers for variety, size and quantity of fish I've found. My boys love it. Thanks Again!!"
