We got in a bit of lake fishing!

Posted on March 16, 2020

I swear that sunfish jumped this high!

Blayne Cohran and I managed to get some lake fishing in a couple weekends ago.  Fishing was tough.  A front had come through keeping the air a bit chilly and the lake was really muddy!  Later in the afternoon the water warmed up enough to finally connect with some small sunfish and one crappie!  Fly fishing with the PGM Super Cricket was the ticket!  Hopefully we’ll see some sun and clear skies as we move into spring and get some clearer water.  They are still generating the Hooch so that’s out for a while but the ponds, lakes and small streams should get progressively better.  Lanier stripers are starting together more active so that should kick up nicely very soon!
